POSITION SUMMARY:
This Director of Emergency Services role oversees operations across two emergency departments located across the street from one another in Albuquerque — a 21-bed emergency department a separate 7-bed emergency department. Together, the departments operate under one license and share a combined team of approximately 55–60 FTEs who float between both locations to support seamless patient care and throughput.
The Director is responsible for the overall operations, quality, patient flow, employee engagement, and leadership of both departments while partnering closely with Behavioral Health, Med-Surg, ICU, and other hospital leaders.
The hiring leader is looking for a seasoned ED leader who is visible, approachable, and invested in building strong relationships with staff.
One of the biggest priorities is finding someone who can create stability, communicate effectively, follow through on commitments, and help strengthen the culture within the department.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with Emergency Department leadership experience who enjoys developing people, driving accountability, and leading operational improvements.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Proven Emergency Department leadership experience with a strong ED clinical background.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operations in a fast-paced acute care environment.
ICU leadership experience may be considered; candidates from other nursing specialties are less likely to be competitive.
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
Active RN license.
BSN required (or currently enrolled with completion plan).
Required clinical nursing experience per job qualifications.
