JOB DESCRIPTION
  • As a Senior Process Engineer in the company's Finishing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • You’ll lead efforts to improve process performance, enhance equipment reliability, and reduce downtime through innovative solutions and best practices.
  • This position combines hands-on problem-solving with strategic project management—giving you the opportunity to work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead process and equipment reliability improvements to meet plant goals.
  • Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.
  • Manage capital and expense projects from concept through execution.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve complex challenges.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop long-term solutions for critical issues.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of industry best practices and introduce new technologies to enhance reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS
You have: (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of process engineering experience in a metals manufacturing environment OR 5 years of process engineering experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical/electrical and process aptitude preferred 
  • 5-10+ years of engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems.
  • Working knowledge of Casting, Rolling, and Finishing Technology (as appropriate by area) preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be results oriented.
  • Computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI)
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
  • Operational knowledge regarding process, equipment capability, practices, systems. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
