We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated International Tax Specialist to join our client’s dynamic corporate tax team. This senior-level role, equivalent to a manager in public accounting, is responsible for overseeing critical aspects of our US international tax compliance, provision, and planning. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review complex US international tax calculations, including the quarterly and annual foreign tax credit (FTC) computation, Subpart F, GILTI, and FDII. 
  • Manage the end-to-end US international tax compliance process, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and comprehensive review of Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and all related supporting workpapers.
  • Lead the preparation and review of the US international components of the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740), including tax account reconciliations and financial statement disclosures.
  • Serve as a key technical resource for the tax department, analyzing the US tax implications of global transactions, business restructurings, and M&A activity.
  • Actively monitor, research, and analyze new and proposed US international tax legislation. Model the quantitative impact of legislative changes and present strategic recommendations to tax leadership.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach junior tax team members, reviewing workpapers to foster technical development and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage information requests from external and internal auditors related to all US international tax matters, serving as a primary point of contact to explain and defend the company's tax positions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting functions.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required. 
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in US International Tax.
Preferred qualifications:
  • CPA or Master's in Taxation (MTAX) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Big 4 accounting firm preferred

Position Criteria:
  • Deep subject matter expertise in US international tax law, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, E&P, and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency with tax compliance software (e.g., CorpTax, OneSource) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, with extensive experience building and reviewing complex financial models.
  • Proven ability to research, interpret, and document complex technical tax positions.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a proven ability to review the work of others and support team development.
  • Exceptional project management skills: Ability to lead multiple complex projects, manage competing priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Executive-level communication skills: Ability to distill complex tax concepts and present them clearly and confidently to senior management and non-tax stakeholders.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • High level of agility and a strong desire to continuously learn and take on new challenges.
  • Up to 10% travel required.
